(Still on that Southern drawl thang. Cat mother is still lovin' Five USA's "Justified")
Cat mother has also reminded us that this blog is essentially about our lives...there are other places for what's going on with her and she hates duplication of effort unless it's for different reasons (thinks Thank Q letters)
Anyhow, onto the fish of it. Thankfully and I can't say it's happened a moment too soon.... cat mother has finally seen the light and it cud b as early as tonight that Magnificat Bongo goes out! Amen! He's been driving us crazy! He's been given out tell tale signs for a few days now that cage life ain't for him. Can't say I blame him. Personally not sure I'd stand for it for as long as he has...
In fairness to cat mama?
1.Well he did stray for 10 days on the 10th July which by my reckoning is almost a month ago.
2. He did come back as cat mama was returning from holiday, what?...that must have been the 20th June so that was just over 2 weeks ago?
3. He came back a ferrell cat and snarled at Molly (cat mama's little girl - not good!) and wasn't very pleasant to me.
4. Cat mother missed her snuggles with Magnificat Bongo.
5.Truth is, he needed bedding down. To b re-domesticated, if u like, in a way that was conducive to us all livin' together. Not sayin' we're a pushover but somehow this seems to come easier to Molly and me. Life ain't so complicated the way I c it...ok it might help if we do a bit of the old Puss-in-Boots thang (#Shrek3D) but to be honest...seems to come quite natural. We like being spoilt and cat nother likes to spoil us. It ain't so hard....
I think back to the stories she tells us of our youth, (technically I'm 21 now) and how we came to live together and b adopted by her. We know she ain't our real cat mother. It's okay.
She'd go round telling everyone who wud listen she had royalty comin' and the place had to b just right. There are beds in every room and in the lounge...?... why we are just plum spoilt for choice. If cat mama is joining us in the garden we got sun beds in the shade and in the sun and if it gets too hot hell we've even got our own parasol, albeit purple. Cat mama has reached that age where purple rocks (plus it reminds her of Clare Bear). She knows I don't always eat what Molly eats and that Bongo eats pretty much anything....anyway...
I digress. Bongo sees life a little differently, it seems to me. At first, he's over cat mother like a rash and if we manage to get near her and share he's just so BIG (Molly and I weigh less than he does) that there's just no way of escaping silver birch boy. Not that we want him going anywhere u understand. Fact is...somehow he is the ma(i)-cat of the house. When he strays there is a big empty space left behind and the only way I can describe it is like this.
Cat mother once knew a person who was full of presence and who spent 2 or 3 days a week at our place. This person began taking over the wardrobe, the kitchen, the bathroom and as time progressed, in some ways home was less ours. The choice of tv was different and it became default background. We rarely listened to the radio. Cat mama did little social networking or indeed any kind of socialising. The garden was a mess. Quality of life and well-being didn't exist. What I'm saying is...
Without this strong presence around cat mama's life has changed, in this case, for the better and greater good. When Bongo strays the opposite is true and it takes a while to get back on track and work out our new routines. Course this bein' the 2nd time, I think we've all accepted that this is what Bongo does. No need to stress about it.
So back to Bongo's Freedom pass and the signs he's been giving out? He's restless and has starting marking and this is something cat mama cannot abide. The good thing is I usually get the blame but now I'm deferring to the natural order and Bongo is leader...and besides she's seen it with her own eyes and heard it with her own ears. He don't do nothin' quietly! Packin' too much is why. Pacin'! You'd think we had 10 ton Tessee around when he moves.
Cat mama spoke to colleagues and may try and get a tracker to put on his collar. I'm not sure what good that will do but least she'll feel better.
Think I'd better have a re-read...make sure every thing is in order.
I got more to say but I'm bushed
Peace
Bi
