2010-04-13 - Has the world gone mad !

In after a hard day sitting in the sun

It felt like having escaped Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter's tea party by the time Cat Mama got into bed and finally slept!

First of all we all had to get used to getting up in the dark! After a 10 day hiatus including the most wonderful weather it is work time again and breakfast at an absurd hour of anywhere between 5:00 and 6:00am.

We were all a bit phased resulting in Cat Mother locking me out all day, Molly in all day and Bongo (S A C R E B L U!) in her bedroom which is the biggest N O! N O! of all.

Cat mother left at 6:15 for work feeling pleased with herself and without giving a second thought to the fact that Bongo should be locked in his now wide open cage! She had no idea and didn't give us a 2nd thought through out the WHOLE day!

Off she goes to see Mother nr. 2 after work and then, when she gets off the train at 21:00 nips into Tesco to get the weekly shop including our cat litter and food. There are card issues as she has forgets that she's done a temporary transfer of monies to open a new savings account and forgotten to transfer some of it back. It isn't until she finally gets in, gets the laptop out and see's what's going on that she realises her error? Doh! She can b soooo scatty sometimes! Before discovering that however she has to get in?

So Cat Mother is at the front door and it must b around 21:30 now. The Primarni silver sequined bucket handbag is being emptied all over the show as it dawns on her that in emptying the mailbox for Mother nr. 2 she left her keys ON THE COFFEE TABLE in FINSBURY PARK in LONDON some 100 miles from where we live, complete with a screaming Molly in the background!

To b fair, I think had I been in that situation I might also be feeling slightly dejected? Cat Mother however prides herself on her organisational skills snd right now they just weren't happening!

AT THE SAME TIME

A number of things were going through Cat Mother's brain and this is why we stay with her I guess. Contingency planning, upon contingency planning.

1.

She cud turn around; leave her shopping with upstairs neighbours. Ring Mother nr. 2 to check the keys were still there; make her way to Finsbury Park; collect the keys; come back; buy more cat food; let herself in; feed us and clear our litter; go to bed; collect shopping on returning from work tomorrow; return to business as usual.

2.

What she did was: look in pencil case. Find recently cut flat keys which opens 1 of 2 of the front door keys. Rush to knock on neighbours door to borrow 2 of 2 flat door keys. Exclaim with joy and admit to feeling all "'motional" at being home and in; re-pack scattered contents of Primarni silver sequined bucket handbag resolving to clear out whatever it is that makes it so heavy; give neighbour back the spare keys complete with updated front door key; go in; clear litter; feed 3 cats; cuddle 3 cats; settle 3 cats; check laptop to manouvre finances to get them to work again (Oh yeah!) and then bed!
